Small Town Christmas
There is glitz and glamour with the lighting of the Christmas trees in Washington DC and Rockefeller Center in New York. I have seen both in person and for me, while they are spectacular, neither event holds the sheer joy and anticipation of the holiday parade in my town of Big Timber, MT.
In a town of 1600 people, more than 1,000 folks lined our Main Street for a Viking themed parade (our area was settled by proud Norwegians) that included students, businesses, music, and of course horses and dogs. Shops and restaurants were humming and people strolled, shopped and caught up with neighbors. Young and old lingered and talked and wished each other well….those little things we can do to bring the magic to everyday.
